The Ensemble Bayona pays homage from its name to the Zaragozan pianist Pilar Bayona (1897-1979) and wants to reflect in its work, as in the performer's career, a deep respect for both tradition and the contemporary world she lived in.
A regular collaborator with the Auditorio de Zaragoza, the Ensemble Bayona has a clear focus on the international scene, the ensemble is becoming more and more present in Switzerland, where it made its debut at the Stadttheater Olten and subsequent concerts at the Aargauer Kunsthaus or at the Hirzenberg Festival. He has upcoming appearances at the Teatros del Canal in Madrid, Quincena musical de San Sebastián, Teatro Jovellanos in Oviedo or at the Jardin Musicaux Festival in Switzerland.
They have recently recorded their first album called ‘Cuando el fuego Abrasa’ on the Eudora label, and the CD was presented on SRF (Swiss National Radio) as well as on Catalunya Radio and RNE (Spanish National Radio).
